We are excited to share that D2L is expanding its operations in Mexico through the incorporation of a legal entity in the country. This expansion will allow D2L to continue supporting institutions and organizations in Mexico, furthering the reach of D2L Brightspace and D2L for business in the region.
John Baker, D2L CEO, reflects on 25 years of D2L. "It was 25 years ago today that I registered a sole proprietorship. We have clearly come a long way since those early founding days - and now have more than a 1000 employees supporting over 18 million people on our learning platform in countries all around the world. I was focused on figuring out the most important problem, we could solve, that would have the biggest impact on the world. For me, our mission has always been to transform learning -- it is the foundation for solving all the challenges in our world -- and it has an incredible ripple effect from person to person, through our campuses, communities, companies, and countries. I couldn't be more proud of the incredible work of D2Lers. Their care for our clients has helped us become the #1 learning platform in many countries around the world. In our most competitive market, North America Higher Ed, we are now the fastest growing and are winning more than 50% of the time. Our work with corporate clients to support a better upskilling experience is growing quickly. It's an exciting time. We look forward to the next chapter of our work -- making things people think of as incredibly hard or impossible today, easy and inspiring tomorrow. Our work to engage learners has never mattered more. Learning also ripples from one generation to the next. I was incredibly fortunate to have my whole family there for the grand opening of our first office in 2000. Thank you"
