« You start with three weeks and two personal days. After five years it becomes 3 weeks and 5 personal days. Two extra days could be used per year for volunteering purposes and 2 extra days if you took courses. »
« Industry Standard. Nothing special there. »
« Maternity leave allows for four month of salary top up on top of the Employment Insurance benefits. Paternity leave is also possible but with no top up. »
Solid benefits plan. Flexible work hours (especially during Covid). Enjoy ability to take time off for volunteering & my own professional development.
Great benefits package for any person
Benefits are above average. The company would also cover portion of parking expenses, if you work in Kitchener or bus/train pass if you commute to Toronto office. As a bonus, the company gives up to $300 a year for wellness activities.
- Vacation is minimal (3 wks) - Company has changed their vacation policy so that new employees do not get vacation days for tenure, instead are given 'personal days' which is a sleazy way of working around the government making employers pay out vacation days. - No overtime pay - On call benefits are abysmal - Internet expenses partially covered (Even during Covid) - Health/Dental benefits is industry standard - Employees are encouraged to take learning courses covered up to a certain amount, but are not allowed to leave the company within X months after taking said course without the chance of having to pay out of pocket for the course(s) taken. (Sleazy tactic used to retain employees) - Gym in the main HQ office
401K and RRSP Matching
Great benefits, in office benefits were great as well when we can get back there.
I've had better bu its ok
Overall pretty standard benefits. The wellness subsidy is pretty minimal though and on the lower end of other companies I’ve been at.
would like more flexibility in benefits
Not a competitive package overall.
