I applied online - the online process was pretty long and tedious. I applied not expecting to get a call back, but I did. Initial phone interview was with the recruiter, who asked basic questions, and screened over some of the basics on your C.V. A date for a face-to-face interview was then set up.
Face-to-face interview was painless. Things are quite informal at SAP and that comes across in terms of how they put you at ease. The interview itself was very thorough. Approx 30 mins were spent discussing your C.V. and past-experiences. Another 30 minutes is spent answering typical interview style questions. No surprises here.
Some of the interview questions I had were "Name a challenging position you were in and how you overcame it." , "What characteristics do you expect and admire in other colleagues?" , "Has there ever been a time where your personal schedule conflicted with your work schedule, if so, how did you overcome it?"
Second interview was much more thorough. 1,5 hours was spent working alongside an employee, being shown exactly in a crammed and rushed (Don't forget how complex the SAP org structure is!) manner what the job entails. Followed by approximately another 40+ minute interview of your thoughts/views of the experience.
Fair interview process, and they put much emphasis on learning about your personality/work ethic and if it will match the company's. Basic interview preparation surrounding SAP and general interviews will be ample preparation for any future applicants.
