totally one-hour interview. Thirty-minute interview with the partner, and another half-minute with the manager. Asking some basic questions like introduce yourself, then why did you choose KPMG? Do you prefer audit or tax?

Interview process was fairly standard with review of area of specialty, business case, book of business. Be careful. There were two big issues. Firstly, one of the senior managers at KPMG ended up getting a partner offer at EY. He breached confidentiality and told EY I was interviewing at KPMG. I was removed from the EY pipeline review after that point. Secondly, I signed the offer and even had my flight booked and paid for. The Friday afternoon before the Monday start date, I received a call that the role was no longer available and I was to submit expenses. I did not pursue damages. Make sure you are VERY careful before giving notice and ensure that there are provisions for offer revocation in place.
