The interview process for the Audit Associate role was a well-structured and insightful experience that gave me a clear understanding of both the role and the company culture. It started with an initial screening call with a recruiter, where we discussed my resume, career interests, and why I was drawn to audit. The conversation was quite relaxed, and the recruiter was friendly, which helped calm my nerves.
The next round was a technical interview with a senior associate. I was asked a mix of questions, some scenario-based and others testing my understanding of core accounting principles like revenue recognition, internal controls, and audit assertions. What stood out to me was that the interviewer wasn’t just focused on right or wrong answers, but also wanted to see how I approached the questions and explained my reasoning.

Can you walk us through how you would approach auditing a company’s revenue?
Online interviews with a lot of technical questions with zero to less information from the resume provided by candidates, but it was quite a good experience overall. Need to prepare a lot before the interview.
Apply through Deloitte Careers but its better if you connect with HR personnel through linkedin. HR will then call you informing you about the position and usual introduction questions. Afterwards, two rounds of interview from HR, then one with audit heads. It takes about two to three weeks from initial interview to Job offer meeting.
Pretty good overall! the interviewer was very warm and polite and made me feel really welcome. it was a good interview, i thought i would land the role but they picked someone with experience aligned with big4.
