After applying online, I got a first email, asking my availability and salary expectations. Currently located in the US West Coast they called me an hour later. The recruiter told me he wanted to have a phone call me the next day at 10am IST time so 2am here in the US. Well fine, the job looked interesting so I decided to get prepared and get all my questions the same evening. Woke up around 1:30am, drank a cup of coffee and got ready! Guess what? 2am, nothing, 2:15am I received an email from the recruiter saying that he attached an excel file with a... TEST and I had to send it back in 60 minutes. Not cool, knowing I was on the west coast, it would have been better to send it another time. Sneaky and very mean. Well I took the test from 2 to 3am, sent it back with a thank you email and waited for a phone call. No phone call, no answer since. Fair enough, that kind of process is not attracting at all and happy not moving forward with my application. Applicants deserve more respect. When they apply, does not mean they are desperate and you can treat them with disrespect. Some other companies have better values.
