The Montreal Operation Team is currently recruiting new graduates in the following business areas:
Middle Office – P&L Controller
Preparation and supervisions of daily and monthly P&L and their reconciliation with the estimates of the traders and with the financial accounts.
Analysis and reporting of daily P&L explain with detailed Greek breakdown for multiple products including futures, options, equities, variance & correlation swaps, interest rate derivatives and Structured Products.
Work with front office and trade support and other parts of the middle & Back office to resolve operational and booking issues.
Ensures the Monthly management P&Ls are consistent with the end of month general ledger P&L.
Client Onboarding – Due Diligence
Conduct research on legal entities in the Bank's systems as well as in official government records and other public websites
Conduct basic corporate financial research
Conduct research on the economic activities of legal entities using available internal documents, such as credit proposals, or on public websites, such as Business Week (sector/industry type, products, services sold, localization of main suppliers, main clients and operation locations);
Evaluate client sensitivity according to a predetermined grid and instructions;
Communicate with clients, as needed, to gather information on beneficial ownership or on any other missing documents.
Know your customer (KYC)
Ensuring that all data, document and information collected as part of the due diligence process are compliant and reliable to determine the final risk level of the client relationship.
Ensuring that the level of due diligence performed is in accordance with the final risk level of the client relationship
Ensuring that local regulatory requirements pertaining to the KYC case has been fulfilled
Ensuring that financial security risk triggers are appropriately consulted with compliance for opinion
Preparing a memo substantiating the KYC analysis review
Ensuring that the file is submitted for Relationship Manager’s final sign-off
Client Services
Ensure any request escalated (Confirmation, settlement, valuation explanation etc.) is answered in a timely manner
Help Clients navigate the Bank
Ensure the valuations, event notification and audit reports parameterization in systems in accordance to the current procedures, cross asset classes and ensure the correct and timely production and delivery of these reports
Maintain, enhance and develop relevant operational related policies and procedures
Develop Firm-to-Firm relationship across product disciplines and functions
Global Banking Product Control Analyst
Aide in creation of Product Control Dashboards (PowerBI, excel, etc)
Performance of control procedures, including review of exception reports, investigation and follow-up for resolution of exception items;
Perform sanctions screening and follow-up as well as other support functions related to the trade finance activity;
Perform production support duties related to the loan, trade, supply chain and payment systems utilized by Corporate Banking Operations, including but not limited to review and approval of remittance instructions in Operations and Payments systems, including sanctions screening related thereto.
Serve as a back-up resource for operations processing when workload peaks require additional resources in the Operations Teams.
Help provide on onboarding of both legal entities and non-legal entities for the Agency Services team
Review and close manual entries posted by the back office teams
Perform daily customer activity such as drawdown of loan requests, repricing, repayments, breakfundings
Help with reconciliation to ensure fidelity of the ledger and accurate profit and loss for the business are accurate
Help with other control reports to resolve accounting breaks, suspense breaks and other in-between system reconciliations
