First off, I would like to say that I banked with Wells Fargo in my high school and college years (first personal checking account, first personal credit card, first personal savings account) and had nothing but genuinely incredible service experiences on the customer-facing side of their business.
As far as the employee-facing side of their operation, the hiring process was pretty seamless at the start. What I take personal umbrage with in their hiring process is this: I applied on their page specifically for a PART-TIME teller position based on my availability. Once I touched base with their recruiter, she essentially coerced me into taking an interview for a different position - the personal banker position.
With my experience in sales, I should have known this was a quota-based role that hinges on my ability to open a certain amount of accounts each month. Nevertheless, once I assessed in the interview that this role was not going to be a good fit for me, I tried to save the interviewer's time and inquired about the initial role that I applied for. She seemed to indicate to me that those roles were not available within her specific territory, but in reality, all of this inconsistency and lack of continuity left me very confused and frustrated.
It was one of the worst, most unprofessional interview experiences I have ever been a part of. I even tried contacting the recruiter after the personal banker interview I agreed to but didn't really want to take... she never replied.
Super shady!
First step is phone screening. They will ask some basic questions like tell me about yourself, how you provide technical support to a customer, what other languages can you speak, and other behavioral questions.

I applied online and got called two weeks later. It was a simple questionnaire, and then they called me a week later to set up an in-person or virtual interview.

First is an email to schedule a phone call interview with HR. Will get a phone call for second interview. The second one is in person interview in the location.
