Hello everybody....a couple of months back I applied for the teller position in a branch at Wells Fargo...At that time I found this forum very very helpful and Igot the job only and only because of this forum....So I thought the best way to pay back is to add to this forum... Well the total process consisted of 1 online screening and 3 interviews..and below I state a few fact about them... 1:- After applying for the job I received a mail from wells fargo (within 48 hrs of applying) stating to go through the screening in a site provided by them. 2:- On clearing that I had to call (next day) at a given number to a recruiter and he interviewed me for around 10 mins in which he asked me question like any award in my last job how would I rate my self as a teller previous job exp why do I want to be a teller ec etc etc and then gave me dates for the group interview which was held after 4days 3:- Now this is the main part...here everything matters a lot...the way you talk the way you get dressed up and the way you participate in the group discussions....they gave us a set of questions to answer and gave us 2 to 3 mins to answer them...same questions were asked to every candidate...the questions asked to our group was Where do I see myself after 5 yrs? state one situation in my last job when my branch was in problem and I helped them solve it....Any sales experience?? then they made us perform a group activity in which they asked us "how will I refer a customer to a banker and how would I use the situation to sell products" 4:- The very next day I received a call from the HR that I have been selected for the next level but then I never heard from her again...after around 7 days I gave her a call myself and left msg and then she called me back stating that they wanted my timings to be a bit more flexible and when I solved the timing thing My service manager called me the very same day asking me to come for 1:1 interview the next day when I was available...I went the very next day to the branch in which I applied for and Imet my service managers...both of them were very very good with me and made me feel very very comfortable.They asked me more or less the same questions which were asked at the group interview but here I spoke for more than 3 mins and explained myself properly...This is the time when you actually build rapport with your service manager....Creat a great first impression and the job is yours...the very next day I got a call from her offering me the job... Friends few questions will be repeated many times to you...like any sales experience, how can you sale product to a total stranger???many things about your last job?? they will give you different scenario and ask you what product you can suggest to the customer at this situation....how will you talk about a banker to the customer.....For me the group interview scared me because that was the first group Interview I had ever faced....
