I did the application online and it was about two weeks before the manager called me in for an interview. She told me it would be a group interview and that there would only be 4 girls. We were interviewed by three women: the manager, the education leader, and the district manager.
At the beginning of the interview each girl was given a sheet of paper with different scenarios on it, and we were told to pick the one we thought would boost sales and then give a pitch as to why Sephora should implement the scenario we chose. This exercise just shows them how your mind thinks, so there's no right or wrong answer. After that, we were only asked a total of 4 or 5 questions and every girl was able to answer without being talked over or interrupted. We laughed a lot and talked about loads of stuff, so it was a very relaxed and comfortable experience.
The interview took about an hour, and at the end the manager told us she would call us at the end of the week to let us know. I received a phone call from her yesterday afternoon with an offer and I accepted. Very pleasant people, and the interview was one of the best I've ever had (considering how horrible group interviews can be!) I'm looking forward to working for this company.

Question 1
None of the questions were difficult, pretty standard questions like: "Why do you want to work for Sephora?", and "How do you feel about meeting sales goals?"

I made friends with employees from shopping in store so often and was told about holiday hires. I applied online and had an interview within two weeks. It was one on one with the store manager and the questions were basic retail related topics. You don't need professional makeup experience or retail for that matter - they train you on that. Just be smiley, upbeat and make it known that you love makeup.

I interviewed at to different locations inside Jcpenny's
1 location Tyrone Square mall- I applied about a month before and eventually got a phone call to set up an Interview.
I arrived 10 mins early and waited the Sephora manager came and got me and took me to a Little office and proceeded on with my interview she didn't seem very enthusiastic but I answered all her questions to the best of my ability we ended the interview and she said she'd call everyone back by 4:30 of course she did not call .. so I tried to follow up the next day and she said she would call from her office phone later..Never called.. a called to more times that week and the following leaving vm's and of course she didn't have the decency to call and say the position was filled at least...
2nd location Clearwater mall- was inside a bigger mall I received an email to choose my own date for the interview I arrived 10 mins early and went to the sephora to ask for directions (as directed in the email! ) the girl at the register ask one of the other girls (who was the sephora manager) where I was supposed to go (she was to busy apply lip gloss in the mirror to even look up at us) and she said she was goin downstairs in a minute and she'd take me down with her... She still didn't even look up I just stood there for about 5 mins as she applied lipstick when she was done she didn't even acknowledge me she just walked towards the elevator into a little waiting area with about 5 other people this was a group interview with the jcp manager and the sephora manager (she of course just sat there the whole time) we all went Into a room with a table and blocks and played to different games that were supposed to see how we work well with each other after that they said they'd call by Friday I they did not ask us any questions about ourselves. I never heard back and I'm glad I didn't .
