I applied to this role back in early summer 2021 as a recent university grad (major was in marketing), no referrals just a regular application through the Workday system. ***I do want to note that you are given an NDA to sign but the following is simply high level and general information about the process in hopes to help people. I am not going to go too in-depth and technical on each round's details.*** First Round: Got a recruiter screen with a Talent Advisor with the usual generic/general questions such as Why Salesforce, tell me about yourself, what are your salary expectations, etc. Overall, really short interview ~15-20 minutes. Second Round: With the hiring manger. Overall, really laid back and chill, conversation style interview that made me very comfortable. Similar to above, more general questions but focus on the role and technical skills. Third Round: With a team member who reported to the hiring manager. This person was too be honest, quite rude and wanted clear cut answers. I can understand that but he wasn't particularly friendly and welcoming especially for someone who I thought represented the culture I was shared about of Salesforce. It was more formal and structured, questions were similar to the second round. Fourth Round: With a team member from another distant office. This round was booked by mistake but it was overall really chill and questions were focused on situational and behavioral questions. Fifth Round: Microsoft Excel test. This was very challenging as a young recent grad who only used MS Excel on a very limited basis during my internships and in my coursework. I did refresh and learn Excel functions and formulas before the interview as I knew this role would have a MS Excel assessment but this assessment absolutely floored me as I received what appeared to be the assessment for the senior level of this role along with a very big dataset. Sixth Round: I was put on the next round which consisted of a case study. This PowerPoint/slide deck case study was very brutal, again as a young recent grad, this case study component was very long and challenging. The case consisted of what slides they wanted and what questions they wanted you to answer based on a dataset (different from the Excel assessment above) and internal Salesforce Sales Strategy & Ops formulas that you must use to help calculate your answers. The instructions claimed that this case study "shouldn't take you 2 hours" but as a young recent grad who has never faced this before, took me quite a while to do as it realistically wasn't a simple 2-hour task or a walk in the park. Seventh Round: This panel presentation is you presenting the case study you produced in the previous round. As with all SF business roles, you are due for a panel presentation with a Q&A at the end usually. At the end, I was due to hear back by a certain date for if I got the offer or not. Time goes by and I didn't hear anything back. I then waited a bit as maybe they had to take extra time to deal with things but still nothing. I then emailed the Talent Advisor for an update and I got news I didn't receive the offer - I ask for any feedback and the only feedback I got was "we wanted someone more experience". For me I was quite confused why they put me (a recent grad) through all the long rounds if I wasn't 'experienced' enough?

It was a very structured and organized process. Consisted of 2 rounds of interviews, a screening call, and a call with all members from the team. The team consisted of 2 directors and 2 analyst.

Overall disappointed in the feedback after being told not moving forward after the interview loop. Was told feedback was positive, but my skills were lacking for the immediate need. Interview Process-- First Round: Recruiter Screen - Why Salesforce - TMAY - Job description - Interview Process - Salary expectations Second Round: 30 min HM 1:1 - HM ended up unavailable, so a peer interviewed in stead - Casual conversation with questions about experience working with large data, difficult customers, etc. - More info on the role - Felt really good and got the information quickly that I am moving forward Third Round: Microsoft Excel Evaluation - 45 min evaluation on using excel functions - A lot of analysis for the time frame, but was able to complete - Felt really good and got the information quickly that I am moving forward Fourth Round: Interview Pool - 3 30-min interviews back to back to back with HM and 2 peers - All interviewers asked very similar questions, which I found very odd - They all gave their background, asked me to walk through your resume and say why Salesforce, examples using large data sheets, leadership philosophy, cross-functional working, influencing - Felt really good with the first 2 interviewers, but the last one asked all the same questions as before, so not sure how they planned to assess Received Rejection 2 days later - Was told while feedback was very positive, they wanted skills more closely aligned with immediate need. This was confusing, as that assessment was already made with the excel test; if that wasn't a skill test, why waste everyone's time? Would-be Fifth Round: Case and Panel Presentation - In round 4, HM told me what next step would be, so assumed I would be moving forward; unfortunately did not happen. - Would be a case given 72-96 hrs in advance and then present to panel for 45 min
