Entretien
The process was very straight forward with basically three separate stages for me. First I was talking to a HubSpot recruiter, asking basic questions about motivation, ability and previous skills. After that I had a phone interview with a team leader going further into behaviour questions (STAR stuff like “Name a situation where you turned a customer around in the past”). Both these interviews lasted somewhere between 20 and 40 minutes.
I was then invited for an in-person interview in the Dublin office, but as I was situated outside of Europe at the time, I had the opportunity to do a series of video interviews instead (four interviews in total lasting about 2-3 hours) consisting of technical questions about the software, culture fit and if you’re the right fit for the actual role. The process is transparent and you will get helpful tips about what to expect and what may be asked of you. Everyone I was in touch with was extremely helpful and open to questions along the way.
My personal tip before facing any interview with HubSpot is to create a free account and use the program as much as you can ahead of time and complete the free Inbound certificate they provide on HubSpot Academy. While you’re here, use Glassdoor to collect all kinds of possible questions mentioned in reviews and answer them in writing for yourself so you are prepared for what’s to come. HubSpot expects a lot from new hires, so show initiative from the first interview and bring the effort. If you do, you should be fine.

It is a 5 step interview process, with the 1st one being a phone screening, then a video call/interactive assignment, and then finally three 30 minute back to back interviews for the 3rd and final round.

The recruiter offers prep sessions before the 2nd and 3rd rounds. Take advantage of them as they’ll explicitly walk you through how to prepare.
Long hiring process; about 3 to 4 rounds in total. First was with HR for screening call. She was very friendly and professional. Good experience and she even gave me feedback post-interview to help me improve.
