The Wilmington office successfully organized a “Sip & Shop” event, encouraging its employees to kick off the new year with a closet clean-out. Participants brought their items to HQ to be sold in a pop-up shop where the proceeds supported the Domestic Violence Shelter. For those not based in ILM, a silent auction provided a way to participate remotely. The event created a fun atmosphere where everyone enjoyed drinks, snacks and bonded with their teams as they shopped for new clothing items.
This month nCino employees took a moment to donate blankets to The Carousel Center, a sanctuary for child survivors healing from abuse in Brunswick, New Hanover and Pender counties in North Carolina. Let's continue to make a difference in the community and support and uplift those on their journey to recovery.
Meet Tomoko Nagata, nCino Japan’s marketing operations director. Since 2019 she has helped expand awareness of the nCino Cloud Banking Platform in the Japanese market. “Since we are a small team in Japan, it is very interesting to be involved in a wide range of marketing activities, rather than being split vertically,” Tomoko says. She emphasizes that nCino's core values create a sense of unity across countries and continents, with her team feeling supported by global counterparts. When Tomoko isn’t crushing it at work, she spends her time traveling, climbing mountains, running or relaxing by watching movies.
Last month our employees spent time at nCino's Hunger Solutions Center packing essential food items for the local community. They also took time to reflect on the accomplishments and successes in the last quarter, celebrating all the milestones that were hit. We look forward to embracing the opportunities and achievements that lie ahead in the new year.
Meet Takayuki Nakao, nCino’s Director of Strategic Partnerships and Alliances in Tokyo, Japan! Takayuki focuses on building out our partner ecosystem in Japan and collaborates with a wide variety of different people, including internal and external partners and customers. Takayuki believes that balance is important in both his professional and personal life. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, surfing typhoon swells and playing golf on sunny days.
Shauna Saunders, Associate QA Engineer at nCino, transitioned from a nontraditional background in Human Development and Family Studies to pursue her interest in technology. Shauna appreciates learning something new every day in her role and enjoys identifying and resolving software issues before they reach customers, ensuring top-quality products. Shauna values respect and outside of work spends her time traveling with her partner, spoiling her cats, exploring new restaurants, and playing the guitar.
Molly Collyer, leader of nCino's Global Benefits Team within People Operations, collaborates to maximize the company's employee benefits. She values nCino’s culture and her team's willingness to help, contrasting it with past experiences in more siloed environments. When she’s not crushing it in People Operations, Molly enjoys family time with her husband, son, daughter and two rescue pups. Beyond work, she can be found reading, at the beach or working on her golf game.
Our nCino Japan team recently lived out our core value "Do the Right Thing" by spending a beautiful afternoon cleaning up a local park and spending time as a team. We appreciate their dedication to community service, efforts in upholding our values and keeping our local parks clean and welcoming. Great job, team!
Wilmington employees collaborated with Wilmington Brewing Company for the second year to create Bankers' Hours, an IPA for those working long (bankers’) hours. Volunteers canned the brew before the release party, where proceeds from every pint/can sold supported both the Plastic Ocean Project and Nourish NC. WBC matched the donations, doubling the impact of our collective commitment to ending plastic pollution and providing food to the community. Cheers to a great cause!
