Meet Susan Hitt, who comes to the world of banking software from a background in education. After graduating with her masters in Instructional Technology, she took on the new challenge at nCino designing learning content within People Operations. She enjoys the dynamic nature of her role, adapting to the company's evolving needs each day. “My team is more than just my co-workers— they are my friends!” Susan says. “Every day we work hard, we collaborate on our projects, we celebrate each other’s wins, and we are always each other’s biggest cheerleaders.” Susan enjoys weekend mornings birdwatching on her porch with her husband, dog, a cup of coffee, and a good book.
In March we celebrated the power of inclusion and women's leadership in honor of International Women's Day. From a photo session bringing us all together to a thought-provoking seminar discussion, we've been empowered by each other's stories and insights. We took time to toast to the amazing women in our lives with a delightful happy hour and started our day right with a celebratory breakfast. Here's to the incredible women who inspire us every single day!
We loved celebrating Black History Month in February and attending the wonderful events hosted by The Diaspora, one of nCino's Employee Resource Groups. We savored the rich influence of African and African American cuisine through a screening of "High on the Hog," toasted with Black Girl Magic wines at happy hours, delved deep into the legacy of Shuir-ryū karate with "Grandmaster: the Vic Moore Story," and finally wrapped it up with a powerful history tour by Wilmington nColor. Thank you to everyone who joined us for celebration and remembrance!
Meet Kimberly McWain, an Engagement Specialist in People Operations. In her role, she works to design and provide an integrated, comprehensive talent management solution globally, executing the engagement strategy throughout the organization. Kimberly values the opportunity to work with different departments and witness how the culture is built by people, products, and customers. She feels valued by her team, not only professionally, but personally as well. “The best thing about my team,” she says, “is that I work with some of the most talented, skilled, funny and driven individuals – truly amazing human beings!” Outside of work she enjoys free time spent traveling, trying new restaurants with her husband, playing with her dog Oliver, binging the latest TV series, and nerding out with a good book.
Competition was stirred among employees at our Wilmington HQ for the inaugural 'Souper Bowl,' hosted by the PDE Culture Club and TWs. Employees participated by cooking up their best soups and stews or by voting to determine a winning chef who claimed a handcrafted pottery set made by a fellow nCinoite. Congratulations to our winners!
To prepare for Valentine’s Day, nCino’s ERG Women nTech and our amazing team in Wilmington teamed up with United Way for A Day of Caring. Together we crafted hundreds of inspirational valentine’s cards for students in the Cape Fear community. We loved making this day extra special for them, and sharing affirmations and love throughout the community!
AAPI ERG members and nCino teams across the world celebrated the Lunar New Year with traditions like calligraphy, zodiac readings and of course delicious dumplings, noodles and desserts! We love to see our employees #havefun and come together to support and learn with each other. Here's to good luck in the year ahead!
Last month we celebrated the quarterly Gator awards, based on peer nominations, and celebrated those who consistently go the extra mile and embody our core values daily. We're honored to work alongside these driven folks and commend them for their valuable contributions to nCino's company and culture. Way to go, gators!
Riley began his journey at SimpleNexus over four years ago, when SimpleNexus became nCino's Mortgage Suite, and Riley continued to manage the nCino Mortgage Support Team. Riley’s advice to anyone starting their career journey is, “Always be open to learning. It doesn’t matter if you have been at the company for a month or a decade, the technology, industry, and opportunities will evolve, so having an attitude of continuous learning will be the best tool you can implement.” Outside of work, Riley adventures with his wife and children, making memories at home, in Utah or even across the world in Thailand.
Almost a dozen remote employees in Texas joined hands for their first in community service event with “Feed my Starving Children,” providing fresh produce to families around the world. Together they packed 4,536 meals that will be sent to El Salvador. We value our remote employees and their commitment to a great cause, and love to see them getting together in person!
