nCino employee resource group Women nTech invited a group of seven college bound students and nine adaptive curriculum students from GLOW Academy to visit our Wilmington Headquarters for GLOWorks. The students had the opportunity to learn about careers in technology and unique opportunities like Bitty & Beau’s!
Last week, two of nCino’s ERGs, the AAPI Alliance and the Veteran’s Network, showed a collection of Vietnam war veterans’ stories in the Stairatorium at our Wilmington HQ. In the weeks before the event, these ERGs also raised over $1,000 in employee donations for organizations that help to support and honor Vietnam War veterans.
We love it when our offices around the world get nVolved with their communities! Last month, teams from our Salt Lake City, Utah office held a food drive for canned goods, then took them to the local food bank where they spent an afternoon volunteering!
At nCino, we have many talented women in leadership positions. To celebrate International Women’s Month, we asked a few women we admire across the company for their advice on growing as a female leader in what is often a male-dominated industry.
Last week, nCino’s employee resource group, Women nTech, hosted a lunch and panel discussion to celebrate International Women’s Day! Employees gathered on our Wilmington campus to hear from talented women in leadership positions at nCino. The panel left us feeling inspired by our incredible female employees!
Through nVolve, our community service and volunteer organization, nCino employees around the globe are able to participate in many philanthropic activities and events. One of our highlights from 2022 was collaborating with Wilmington Brewing Company to support NourishNC. Through this collaboration, we were able to raise $1,600 to help fight hunger in the Wilmington area. Check all all the other ways nCino employees stayed nVolved last year!
Employees from our Women n Tech Employee Resource Group attended GLOW Academy’s annual Cool Women, Hot Jobs Career Day last week! This event is organized to expose the students at GLOW, a local all girl charter school, to the business world and what careers women like them are paving the way in. Over 60 women volunteered to present their profession, answer questions and help students create their own business cards.
This week we had the honor of attending the groundbreaking ceremony for the nCino Sports Park in Wilmington, NC! Zedrick Applin, MBA, Head of DE&I and Community at nCino, Inc. joined Wilmington Mayor Bill Saffo and Carson Porter, Executive Director of Wilmington Hammerheads Youth Soccer, to kick off the project. We are eager to see the nCino Sports Park come to completion as we bring our community a safe place for Wilmington youth to grow and learn.
Wilmington, NC has made great strides in their DE&I efforts in the past few years. Local companies and government offices now have positions dedicated to DE&I. These professionals dedicate their time to organizing community initiatives and educational efforts. But there’s still room to improve, and nCino is excited to make a positive impact and continue to push DE&I efforts to the forefront.
As we celebrate Black History Month at nCino, our employees had the opportunity to enjoy a private dinner at Catch Restaurant! Chef Rhodes, an award-winning Black chef, and his staff were amazing hosts, and our employees had a wonderful experience of delicious food and great fellowship!
