We’re taking every opportunity to soak up the last bit of summer at our Wilmington HQ! One of our favorite ways to enjoy the nice weather and get nVolved with our community is through our weekly beach sweeps. Last week’s sweep was sponsored by our Employee Resource Group, Women nTech. This talented group collected 5 buckets of trash and over 200 cigarette butts!
We recently attended the 2023 New Hanover County Equity Awards! Our team was inspired by speakers like Zedrick Applin, Head of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Community Involvement at nCino, and we were proud to contribute to this year's chosen cause, The Carousel Center. This event highlights the significant strides New Hanover County is taking to promote equality in our community, and we're honored to have been a part of it.
In June, our Women nTech Employee Resource Group sponsored a table at the 10th Annual A Day in The Life luncheon. This annual event benefits A Safe Place, a local nonprofit committed to fighting human trafficking in our community by providing a space for victims to go for resources and support.
In honor of National Intern Day in the United States last week, nCino hosted celebration with cookies and awards for our amazing interns! Among the awards were the Innovation Award, the Luminous Award and the Intellectual Trailblazer Award, all of which were determined manager nominations. We were happy to celebrate our interns and we’re excited to see what they continue to achieve as the summer winds down!
Last week nCino employees completed our bike ride from London to Paris! 🚴♀️ 10 of our EMEA-based employees, representing 9 different nations, embarked on this journey to support Alexander Jansons Myocarditis UK. With our global community's help, we raised over £5,000 to support this great cause. 🌟 We're so proud of our employees for committing their time and efforts to this fundraiser bike ride and making a positive impact in the community!
Yesterday, a group of women from our Women nTech Employee Resource Group spent the day volunteering at Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build. This event was founded in 1991 and every year women gather to build homes, foster community and create female-friendly worksites. nCino is sponsoring the entire home build, and these women worked hard to get this home one step closer to making homeownership a reality for a local family!
We're still buzzing from our nPride Carnival last month! Employees and their families spent the afternoon playing fun games at booths sponsored by each of our employee resource groups, including a hula hooping challenge, button making station and a henna booth. We had a great time celebrating at this event and throughout the month of June, and we hope everyone had a happy Pride Month!
This week, our Veterans Network employee resource group (ERG) hosted a PTS Awareness Field Day for employees! This event featured 11 battle-buddy style activities and food, and raised money for the PTSD Foundation of America and NAMI, both organizations who strive to destigmatize PTSD and provide support for those who experience it.
Last week, our employee resource group The Diaspora hosted a fun cookout outside at our Wilmington HQ to celebrate Juneteenth! Juneteenth is the day that commemorates the day that all enslaved people were declared free in the United States. Employees spent the afternoon celebrating with delicious food prepared by our own Zedrick Applin, live music and genuine time to connect!
Last week our global marketing team spent the afternoon volunteering at the nCino Hunger Solution Center! The team sorted and bagged sweet potatoes to be sent out to food banks across North Carolina. Altogether, they sorted enough sweet potatoes to create over 11,000 meals!
