Its fall in Wilmington, NC, and we are enjoying the cooler weather! One of the ways we love to get outside and get involved is by volunteering at the Novant Health Community Garden each month! At nCino, we're passionate about community involvement and demonstrate our commitment by providing employees with paid volunteer days to support our teams in these endeavors.
Last week, our Employee Resource Group, The Diaspora, hosted a fireside chat with nCino, Inc. Board Member, Bill Spruill. Bill discussed life lessons he's learned as a minority business founder, how to build diverse and successful teams and shared personal anecdotes with our employees. We loved hearing about his personal and professional journeys, and appreciate the wisdom he shared on fostering diverse, inclusive and high-performing teams!
Last week, nCino's Employee Resource Group, Mi Gente, hosted "En La Mesa," an event where members of the group shared their history, recipes and authentic food with the company to celebrate Hispanic and Latinx culture!
At nCino, our culture drives our company. One of our core values is "Have Fun," and we believe starting the day with a surfing lesson or paddleboarding session with coworkers is a great way to do so!
Last Friday, nCino's Employee Resource Group, nPride, hosted its first "Work" the Runway Fashion Show in the Stairatorium at our Wilmington Headquarters. Eight contestants walked the runway in an exciting show of style, flair and confidence, judged by various leaders from the company, including Pierre Naude, Chairman and CEO of nCino, who crowned the winner. Once the winner was decided, the runway was opened up to anyone who wanted to "strut their stuff," and we had a great time cheering on all of our unique and stylish employees!
Our Women nTech employee resource group was thrilled to host "The Confidence Code," an enlightening master class led by Tiffany Tucker, Deputy Director of Athletics at UNCW. In this interactive session, Tiffany generously shared her own journey of overcoming obstacles and breaking barriers and provided invaluable insights and practical tips, encouraging attendees to embrace their potential with confidence. We are committed to fostering an environment where every individual can grow and thrive. Here's to empowering each other and forging ahead with confidence!
Last Friday, some of our employees spent their afternoon volunteering at the nCino Hunger Solutions Center. Employees sorted and bagged hundreds of sweet potatoes, which will be used to feed our community in the coming weeks. It was the perfect way to end the week. Way to get nVolved, team!

Throughout the month of September, around 40 nCino employees are participating in Mission Miles 2023, which challenges participants to walk, run, bike or hike 100 miles this month. Sponsored by our employee resource group, the Veterans’ Network, this event supports Project Recover, an organization dedicated to finding and returning the remains of American missing in action soldiers (MIA) home to bring closure for their loved ones and the nation.
