Constructing an impact 🏗️ We are honored to be a part of this beautiful initiative formed by the Architecture class at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, in which students built a community center out of containers ZIM has donated to an underprivileged neighborhood, offering a safe and welcoming space for residents to come together. It's always inspiring to see ZIM's most prominent resource transformed into a beacon of hope that impacts the lives of so many people.
Delivering good deeds 🥬 Our Israel ZIMmers recently teamed up with Leket Israel, the leading food rescue organization in Israel, in sorting and packaging agricultural goods as holiday parcels for underprivileged families, just in time for Passover. We believe a small act of kindness can go a long way, and by working together, we were able to make a difference and bring a little bit of light to those who need it most, ensuring a happy holiday for all. We're proud to celebrate teamwork, cooperation, and commitment to the industry, and believe that coming together for even the smallest of occasions is the key to successful partnerships 🌍
What a success! Our teams recently participated in a Customer Experience workshop at the ZIM Israel headquarters, where they acquired new tools and resources that will help them provide an even better customer experience. From the meet-and-greet dinner to a trip to Nazareth, our ZIMmers were able to improve their skills throughout many exercises and collaborate to bring their Z-Factor to the table. We're proud of our team's dedication and believe this initiative has left them motivated to take on any challenge.
Marking milestones! We are pleased to announce the successful bunkering of the ZIM Sammy Ofer container vessel with liquefied natural gas in Jamaican waters, in collaboration with Shell. "The safe and efficient LNG bunkering of the ZIM Sammy Ofer is a great achievement for all parties involved. This is the first vessel in our growing LNG-powered fleet that will enable ZIM to be more carbon and cost-efficient, thereby improving our competitive position, particularly on the strategic Asia to USEC trade, and allowing customers to reduce their carbon footprint," stated David Arbel, ZIM EVP COO. בעקבות הודעת מנכ"ל החברה אמש, משרדי החברה לא נפתחו היום וכ- 1,000 עובדי צים לא הגיעו למשרד. לאור המצב המתפתח ומתוך דאגה כנה לנעשה במדינה, אלי גליקמן, ZIM President & CEO, הודיע כי הנהלת החברה, בשיתוף מועצת העובדים ויושב ראש איגוד קציני הים, החליטה על סגירת משרדי החברה בישראל היום, והצטרפה בכך להחלטה הצפויה של יושב ראש ההסתדרות.
