Reaching new heights! Quite literally. We had the honor of holding the naming ceremony today for ZIM Mount Everest and ZIM Mount Blanc, two additional 15,000 TEU LNG-powered vessels joining ZIM's fleet as part of a long-term chartering agreement with Seaspan Corporation, at SHI Shipyard in Korea. During the ceremony, the vessels' names were revealed by "Godmothers" @Alice Tham, ZIM Singapore Country Manager, and @Rachel Yang, ZIM Head of Sales, South China & Hong Kong. Named after some of the world's highest peaks, the Neo-Panamax vessels are 366 meters long with a 51-meter beam, a maximum service speed of 22.5 knots, and significant emissions reduction. Both will join ZIM Sammy Ofer as the world's first LNG vessels to call the US East Coast, marking yet another historic milestone. The sky truly is the limit, and we believe this expression is applicable now more than ever before 🏔️

Made a splash in Peru! At our recent event celebrating the launch of ZCX, our ZIMmers had a terrific time meeting with our customers while enjoying some excellent Peruvian cuisine. While we embrace togetherness at every chance, it's safe to say ZCX deserved the spotlight 🔦 This service allows us to provide our customers with direct calls at the ports of Philadelphia and Miami, as well as access to ZIM's extensive network of connections throughout North America, Central America, and the Caribbean. In other words, unparalleled flexibility and reliability 😉 During the event, our customers had a chance to leave their mark on the ZIMonitor mockup that now hangs on one of our walls, and between appetizers, dance moves, and insightful discussions, this definitely served as a reminder of how crucial personal relationships are for building strong partnerships.
Making a difference, here and now 🐳 We're proud to support The Coast Patrol, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation of Israel's marine environment. ZIM has had a substantial impact on the goals they have accomplished so far, covering 31% of their total income in 2022, and allowing them to expand their resources, including professional training for volunteers, necessary equipment, and debris-removal operations, such as ghost nets, hazardous substances, and rescuing distressed animals. We aim to support organizations that share our core values, and when togetherness and sustainability are combined, the impact is far greater.
