We spent the day yesterday celebrating International Women's Day! We hosted panels and breakout sessions where employees heard from leaders and participated in candid discussions around the issues women face and how to overcome them, empower each other and raise the next generation of powerful women. Together, our hands will help shape the world and our voices will make a difference! We are proud to raise them in celebration of the achievements of women everywhere and to challenge gender bias and inequality.
An inspiring afternoon! Yesterday, as part of our internal commemoration of Black History Month, speaker Anthony McLean shared his insight on and personal experience with systemic racism. Anthony also moderated a panel discussion with our employees titled “What Anti-Racism Means to Me” that dove deeper into the societal barriers faced by people of color. Many thanks to our amazing team members for being open, vulnerable, and sharing their stories.
We kicked off Black History Month this week with a powerful performance by the literary performer and educator Regie Gibson. Regie joined us to perform his moving work, “Of Poems and Prejudice”. His presentation was enlightening and inspirational.
