* Waste of time *
I applied and interviewed for 2 different vacancies in two different teams.
The process when as following for both vacancies:
1. An online test on Codility (3 tasks in 1.5 hr)
2. HR interview
3. Hiring manager interview
4. Hiring manager and one team member (this happened for only one of the vacancies)
5. Final interview round of four back-to-back calls in one day (takes about 4 hours). These are one HR/People management interview and three technical interviews with employees from different departments than the one you are applying to.
All good so far, right? NO!
After passing the codility exam and getting good scores, I met with the hiring manager and had a good interview and great discussion about my work experience and skills.
Then you wait for the final round, which is where the issue lays, the people from different team members don't seem to understand what is the job you are applying for, therefore they ask you questions related to what they do not what you will be doing in your job, which doesn't make any sense!
Then when you get rejected you get a 5 to 15 mins phone call from HR to explain to you why you got rejected and how to improve before re-applying (which I will never do again!)
Both times the reason was that I don't have enough experience working with a tool which I stated VERY clear in the first two interviews that I don't have working experience on, if this is going to be an issue why did you invite me to the final round??
It's because there is no coordination happening between the hiring manager and the rest of the interviewers, or maybe there is and they are just not willing to hire anyone and just screening candidates.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
Basic HR questions, not a big deal
Codility exam is challenging but fun
The hiring manager interview is based on work exp. which is good as well
In the final round (which doesn't make sense) they go deep into topics that are listed as nice to have in the job description

Typical interview process with HR, Hiring manager, technical interview, and culture fit check. You can feel that their technical people are not capable - they have very limited knowledge, knowing only the toolkit Zalando uses, and have difficulties to understand latest technologies and theories behind them. You probably wanted to work with smarter people.

Question 1
Tell me what languages do you use. Build a system to capture onsite customer behavior. Tell me a conflict you had with other teams

The interview process included a 30-minute HR interview, followed by a 1-hour session with the hiring manager, and then three technical interviews. There was flexibility to schedule all interviews on the same day or spread them across multiple days.
In the first technical interview, they asked general technical questions related to my experience, along with some scenario-based questions.
The second interview focused on system architecture design, while the third involved a coding challenge.
