I had an interview with Zalando Berlin in 2019. The interview process had 4 rounds. The first round was a codility test. Next was an interview with HR. The third one was with Technical Manager and finally, the fourth round consists of 4 sessions with 3 Tech Lead/Senior Engineers for 3 technical interviews and with HR for a behavioral interview.

Codility test was easy, behavioral questions are average but, Java, web development & design system questions in the last round require solid knowledge and well prepared.

I applied through the company’s website, and after two weeks I was invited to a 20-minute interview with HR.
The interviewer was not very friendly, and overall the interview was quite ordinary. They asked me about my background and my motivation for joining the company.
Two weeks later, I received an automated email saying that the position had been filled. Even though I followed up with the recruiter by email, I didn’t receive any response and was essentially ghosted.

Process: phone screen, technical take-home task and onsite interview with the team. Take-home task took ~3–4 hours (refactoring + tests). Interview was friendly, focused on architecture and practical experience. Feedback received in 7 days

Initial Test
I got an email from HR team the next day right after I applied to do an initial test through Codility. It went well as the questions were quite easy
Interview
The next day I got invitation email for HR interview. BUT when I attend, there is NO ONE appeared for HR call. HR doesn't even bother to reply or give an update.
They do not seem to be serious with hiring. Feels like they just do it to gain some kind of popularity. Do not waste your time to interview with this company.
