      I applied online in early October. After a few days, a recruiter contacted me to regret to inform me that they will not proceed with my application, with no other explanation given. I thanked her and asked for feedback, and got a response with visible grammatical mistakes that it was based on "a list of candidates who currently on the final stage". The recruiter also added that it was not in connection to my qualification, but the "current need of team and candidates on final round". This was her response to a job offer that was just reposted from mid September, so I thanked her again and added that it was misleading to repost a job offer when you already had a list of final candidates. Obviously, they had the offer opened up until the beginning of December. The salary expectations that I put were according to the average market price, which makes me think Zalando is looking for cheap candidates. My advice is - keep up your reputation and image and don't write lazy responses with obvious grammar mistakes, such as complete lack of any punctuation, or compose a generic rejection with no feedback, since you still add it in the follow-up after asking.

      I’m not sure if the deep-dive section was intended as a stress test, but during this part the interviewer interrupted me more than seven times. It ended up being one of the most uncomfortable interview experiences I’ve had.

      I recently interviewed for Zalando, and honestly, it was the most chaotic interview process I’ve ever experienced. I had read a lot of negative feedback online and was hesitant to apply, but I went ahead because I liked the product and found the role interesting. From the start, things felt disorganized. My first interview was rescheduled just 30 minutes before it was supposed to happen. I figured it might have been due to an emergency and let it slide. Then, my second-round interview was rescheduled three times. I understand that people get sick, but at that point, couldn’t they have found someone else to step in? Then came the so-called "final round," which included a UI challenge, two small interviews, and a case study. However, the person handling scheduling failed to inform me that I needed to prepare a presentation and simply described it as a "technical interview." That kind of oversight is incredibly frustrating. In total, I went through five or six interviews, invested a lot of time preparing, and even took time off work for some of them. After all that effort, I didn’t hear *anything* back. I get that they may have chosen someone else, but after so many hours spent on the process, I expected at least a courtesy email. I even followed up with the coordinator—still no response. I genuinely don’t understand how a company of this size can completely ghost candidates when they literally employ people whose job is to coordinate the process. That being said, the people I spoke with during the interviews were all very kind and professional. It’s just unfortunate that the overall process was so poorly managed. Frankly, I find this level of disorganization and lack of communication unprofessional and disrespectful. If you're considering applying to Zalando, I’d recommend thinking twice—you might be saving yourself a lot of wasted time and frustration.

      The experience felt fairly straightforward and relaxed overall. The questions were standard — nothing unexpected or out of the ordinary. It leaned quite corporate, with a focus on typical background, behavior, and scenario-based topics.
