I like Zalando and I really want(ed) to join them. I've been following them since 2017 and applied couple of positions. So far, I was contacted for 3 different roles there and none of them was successful mainly for technical issues (work permit, relocation etc.). That's fine. But what is absolutely not fine is their post-interview attitude.
I'm a feedback seeker and during every single interview I specifically ask to provide me a proper feedback regardless the outcome of the process. Although all of them promised it with a big smile but none, I mean none of those recruiters or hiring manager provided a normal feedback. What I got just a standard rejection letter. Even once, their British recruiter working at Berlin office removed me from the LinkedIn connection, probably just to prevent any chance of further contact. That was ridiculous.
Recently I had another terrible experience of this kind with Zalando. During the recrutiment process I neither got a normal information about the status of my application (I asked it 3 times) nor a proper feedback afterwards. They just ignored.
Therefore, for me the subject of Zalando is closed. And I don't recommend anyone to apply for them if you don't want to waste your time just to fill the recruiter's daily KPI.
