J'ai passé un entretien chez Xero (Londres, Angleterre)
Entretien
Ok interview, but very vague and the interview did feel rushed. Could have done with more clarity throughout the process about next steps and the company culture didn’t seem great.
J'ai postulé via la recommandation d'un employé. J'ai passé un entretien chez Xero (Melbourne) en juill. 2025
Entretien
It was the most shocking experience I ever had in an interview process. Case study interview booked, lots of work go into the case study, had a 45 minutes interview, no feedback for a couple of weeks, then an email saying:
From: Danielle Cwirko-Godycki
Heard you did a great job on the folio review. I am OOO tomorrow, but I'll circle back Wednesday on next steps and once I have feedback from the team!
Best,
Danielle
Followed by an automated email, the ones you can't respond to saying:
from: Xero
Thank you for expressing an interest in working for Xero, and taking the time to apply for the Director of Product Design role.
We enjoyed reviewing your application. You certainly have some impressive skills and experience relevant to the role. However, we have had an incredibly high response rate for this role and cannot proceed with everyone through to the next stage.
We will keep your application on file so we can reach out to you regarding future roles that may suit you.
Best of luck in your search and we hope our paths cross again. Please follow us on LinkedIn to stay up to date with our current roles.
Many thanks,
The Xero Talent Team
The interview process felt prolonged with multiple rounds and created candidate uncertainty due to vague timelines, requiring consensus from overly many stakeholders, significantly slowing final decisions and potentially creating an impression of inefficiency.
