Recruiter called and then schedule hacckerrank test, after that had one interview with hiring manager followed by 2 technical with the senior team members. Interviews went well and interviewers were quite nice and supportive, got to learn a lot as well.
However recruiter who had been procative until the last interview called and mentioned hiring team thought i would be more suitable for a SDET instead of Senior SDET and told me to think through and let him know my decision and time slots to discuss for next steps. I emailed recruiter about being okay with the position offered and to know more about the different benefits and compensation components apart from the base he had initially mentioned and based on that I could make a decision to proceed. The recruiter completely ignoted my emails and I received no response. Neither did my application status change online, its been 1 month now and i assume they have found another candidate, however this ghosting by the recruiter who does not have the decency to respond after he had asked me for my time slots and availability does not reflect well on the organization's culture and image to a candidate, I hope Workday is not what I got an impression of after my first interview experience and it had indeed a rich culture and they treat people with courtesy and respect. I was expecting a response or acknowledgement to my emails even if it is a reject, you cannot just let a candidate know he/she is still being considered and then suddenly ghost the candidate without any information.
