Multiple interviews with various stakeholders, an internal manager, a peer and a co-ordinator. Plus one overseas peer. Very thorough and professional. Asked many questions about background, explained the role in details from different perspective and asked situational questions too.

The process was simple, the team was nice and all the panelists were cool to talk to. I was offered the role after 3 working days. I counter-offered. It has been 1 whole week and the recruiter is waiting for the hiring manager to come back with new numbers, manager in turn is waiting for senior management approval. This is one of the worst experiences that I have had. Not sure what kind of recruitment process is this, where candidates are made to wait just to get confirmation.

A recruiter reached out and did a screening over the phone. Then, I went through the following interviews: 1- Interview with hiring manager (45 minutes) 2- Technical Assessment interview (HackerRank 45 minutes) 3- 3x45 minutes interviews going over technical expertise, learning agility and company values 4- Final interview with hiring manager (same manager from round 1) After going through all of this, I got an automated rejection letter explaining that it was due to technical skills. However, the people who interviewed me based on technical skills (round 2 and round 3) endorsed me (their own words + what the recruiter told me when I did a follow up). I'm very disappointed with the outcome considering this entire process took a month and the explanation given did not make any sense. I was told during the final interview that I will hear back in 2-3 days after they re-sync with the team, but the automated rejection was sent at the same day. I don't think there was any resyncing tbh. Very disheartening experience, because the interviews themselves went very well and I enjoyed talking to the people from the team the job was for.

Way too many people in the interview process... in a highly competitive environment they are going to lose people to competitors. The people are very nice and are very organized in their interview process.

I would still encourage anyone to apply to workday but I had a negative experience with the workday recruiter. First was a 30 minute screening interview with the recruiter. Let them know I was only beginning interview prep and would need a bit more time for the technical questions. Secondly an interview with a hiring manager. I was given reassurances this would not be technical but just based on past experience. The questions were not particularly hard eg how to detect/prevent deadlocks but it threw me off and I didn't perform well. I was then offered to interview for a different position. The interview this time with the team manager and was just based on previous experience. I only learnt during the interview that the majority of the team was based in Pleasanton and the daily standups were held at 7pm. The tech stack was also very old compared to the job I actually applied for. 50% of their time was spent coding in their own internal programming language which I deliberately wanted to avoid when applying. At this point I really should have said I wasn't interested anymore. Thirdly there was was a coding exercise to complete online by yourself within 90 minutes. The exercise consisted of finding your way through a maze, represented as a 2d array. You start top left and the exit is bottom right. You can only move down and right. Before the final interview round I got some info from the recruiter on what to expect. The information was very general and didn't give me much to focus on. I asked would there be any questions on system design/architecture. Their answer was there could be and since I had a week to prepare, I might as well just cover everything. I gave my availability for the interview and received times outside of my availability. One interview from 8-9pm. I should have really rescheduled so this is on me but really not a good sign even asking someone to interview at this time. Final round of interviews consisted of 5 interviews. 4 45 minute tech interviews and 1 with the team manager's manager. - API design challenge. Very basic. Given dog resource and expected to know the proper request get/post/put.. - Tech leads conversation X2. Mostly focused on talking about my background and diving into some of the technical aspects. - Coding exercise. Given a number of linked lists which are ordered, merge into one ordered linked list. - Competency/Behavioral based interview with manager. Questions you could expect like how you resolve conflict, what you are looking for with this job, time you inspired others within your team... I was a bit surprised when I didn't receive an offer. The feedback was basically that I didn't do well enough in one interview but performed very well on the others. This was an interview scheduled from 8-9 pm, I brought this up previous to the decision and they said yes this wasn't good and they would take this into account and wouldn't base the decision on this interview alone.

Applied online A call from HR a week after, very good conversation about the opportunity and other Interview setup in 2-3 business days A call with Manager went fine, he was good and openly confirmed my acceptance Panel interview 5 rounds 1, round given me N tree with N memory segments problem, i am sure this question is one of the difficult one to complete unless you practiced , and never understood why this much difficult issue who working in devops, realized the opportunity got away 2nd round, guy asked me how was my first round and gave a hint the first guy is a jerk and grilling the people Went fine, the demotivation impacted a little but tried to give the best answers 3rd round, very good, explained all that he asked in the best way 4th round Guy not able to attend 5th round, again coding this was easy , 2/40 minutes 1st one completed, second one not in a position to complete as it's already 5 hours since the interview started. Great opportunity and I am a regular guy what they are working on. but it's not my day. Interaction with HR was great, given me a call to say thnkas note and feedback where i missed

Very inhuman process. Got contacted by a screening recruiter pretty quickly for a next call. Interview got changed to a manager that had no link with the role whatsoever. Barely asked any question as it seemed he had made up his mind even before the interview. And then got feedback on aspects that didn’t match the interview. All in all a waste of time.
