A friend referred me for a presales position, it consisted of answering a series of questions via email, a phone screening with the hiring manager (very brief), a longer phone interview with another manager in the group (30 min.), an in-person interview (45 min.), then they flew me out to Pleasanton to do a series of in-person interviews and a presentation. No surprises in the interviews (standard behavioral, some culture fit stuff), and also nothing ever experienced in the process to make me say "Heck YES I want to work here!"
Everyone I interviewed with was relatively friendly and seemed reasonably intelligent, but the recruiting team REALLY could use some work. Last minute changes in logistics, long delays in communication about important details, delayed processing of expenses for the trip out, but the worst has to be that absolutely no feedback was provided when prompted multiple times (not even a response given). Sorry, but when someone goes through a 2.5 month interview process, takes a vacation day to interview with your company including a presentation that took hours to prepare for, there should be SOME kind of feedback provided. Very disappointing, especially after all the great things I had heard about the company. When a company grows this quickly but can't keep up with their recruiting operations, they'll see the talent pool reflected eventually.
