I applied through a referral. I originally applied for one position, had a phone interview with a recruiter and then several weeks later had an in-person interview at the Wayfair offices. This process took quite a long time (maybe 5 weeks) because the relevant team was traveling. After my in-person interview, the company decided that another position would be a better fit with my skills and interests. I really appreciated that they took the time to find the best fit for me. Once the second position was suggested to me, I was contacted by a second recruiter for a more formal phone interview. Finally, I was brought into the office for a second in-person interview which consisted of three back-to-back interviews with two people each. These ranged from company-fit and job comprehension questions to case questions. I received a call the next day with the job offer and I am so excited to start!
