J'ai postulé via la recommandation d'un employé. J'ai passé un entretien chez VMware
Entretien
Initial contact with vmware was very smooth and I could tell their processes were well thought out. After passing the interview, the offer portion of the conversation was a bit congested and their communications struggled a bit. Processing my offer was even a bit more difficult as I wasnt quite sure of my status right up until I had to turn in my 2 weeks to meet their expected start date. All in all the company made it well worth it and now as someone hiring into vmware I can tell they have ironed out all of my initial concerns.

What ground breaking technologies have you worked on and what were your biggest challenges in meeting goals.
J'ai postulé via un recruteur. J'ai passé un entretien chez VMware
Entretien
Recruiter reached out, did the initial assessment and scheduled interview with the hiring manager (HM).
[INCIDENT#1] HM never called at the scheduled day/time. I waited for HM to call on my cell for 10 mins and then sent an email to the recruiter to reschedule the call.
I got an email from the recruiter, that hiring manager had a sudden meeting with executives, hence HM could not call.
[INCIDENT#2] Call was rescheduled - HM did not call again, second excuse was - sudden planning session :-) [INCIDENT#3] Call was rescheduled again- HM did not call in the first 15 mins and I decided to walk away from my desk and I receive the call after 15 mins. HM had another meeting, surely we did not have sufficient time to understand what the HM's expectations are and the value I bring in. HM proposed to end the discussion at the scheduled time but continue with our discussion at 4pm on the same day(Friday) or have a follow up on Monday. I appreciated HM to provide me sufficient time. We decided to continue our discussion on Monday.
[INCIDENT#4] I texted the HM on Monday to confirm if we are still on for the discussion and the response came with the confirmation. HM called me at the right time and our discussion was very interesting and engaging.
After the call, I truly ignored my experiences from incidents 1-3 and was very positive.
Got a follow-up email from the recruiter, asked my availability for 3-4 hour window for onsite or video interview. Recruiter schedules video interviews with 6 interviewers, 45 mins each. I am excited.
[INCIDENT#5] - I sent an email to the recruiter a day before the interview to confirm the schedule and I never received any response. Anyways, I had the video call url and tried to connect at the scheduled time and the link did not work. Tried couple of times, with no success. Called the recruiter on phone and was informed that the HM has decided to put the position on hold and all the interviews have been CANCELLED. -
Following day an email comes from the recruiter - The team felt that your combination of technical and people mgmt. skills weren’t the right fit .
I am really confused how can team feel about my abilities without even having a conversation with me.
VmWare is growing pretty fast, but seems like the organization is in a chaos. I am sure many candidates may be applying for the job. Please be considerate of interviewee's time and keep them informed ahead of time when changes occur internally. I had to reschedule couple of my important appointments in order to make time for 6 video interview calls.

Question 1
The hiring manager did not ask me any question related to Sr. Mgr IT position wrt - what is management style, how do I manage my team. How do I handle IT operations as well as the projects etc (yet the team provided the feedback on my inability to mange people/resources),
HM asked me questions related to solutioning scenarios pertaining to subscription business/challenges involved around it. (I have pretty strong hands-on experience in enabling SaaS)
