I was chosen from a recruiter because I knew a contract employee who worked at UHG at the time. That contractor told the recruiter to look at my application and resume. This is usually how people get to a recruiter: an internal email saying to look at this.person's application (please).
I had a phone interview scheduled with the recruiter. I don't recall any of the questions from this interview. The standout came at the end, when the recruiter says (s)he didn't think I was a strong enough candidate but is willing to pass my resume to the hiring manager for the final decision. I was stunned speechless until I thought to say thank you for forwarding my application.
2nd interview was a few days later onsite. I took a computer and phone skills test to let them know if I can talk, listen, and type at the same time. They were the exact program, questions, and scenarios tlas skills assessment tests previously taken with competing companies, so I knew the correct answers and how to do well.
I dressed professionally and the 2 hiring managers were dressed very comfortablely, which was relaxing.
They asked what I thought a coach should be able to do for a member. They asked behavioral questions and how I would handle an upset caller. It felt comfortable.
4 hours after the interview, that same recruiter called to offer me the position. I am confident (s)he remembered her comment from my first interview and chuckled about it with my friends. This was over 4 years ago.
Thorough - complete questions. HR screening first; second screening with health expert; third meeting with manager. Explanation of role, expectations; training etc.
Screened first stage
Phone call second stage
Virtual meeting third stage

The interview process lasted for about 4 months from start to finish so be prepared. The first interview was over the phone with a recruiter. This interview is a screening interview but they go pretty in depth. They go over the position as well as compensation and benefits. Both are very competitive! The second interview was onsite with management. This interview took about 1 hour and covered standard interview questions. It's pretty formal/ standard and they ask the same questions to each person they interview.
