      Entretien

I almost declined an interview with this company and wish I had because it was a complete waste of time. They make you fill out all of these forms for background checks, drug tests, customer service test, a writing test, and then they have you complete a personality profile online. On top of that you spend a couple of hours taking some tests when you arrive for an in-person interview. There was a number sequence test and a number comparison test that they give you 4 minutes each to complete. Then, they test your knowledge of Word, Excel and Access. Finally, you get a chance to actually interview with someone starting with an HR person. I talked to a total of 4 people there, 2 of which were unplanned. I asked each of the interviewers what they liked least about the company or what they would improve about it, and they all indicated some dissatisfaction with their CEO because she is basically a micromanager. I thought that I had a good interview and none of them voiced any concerns when I asked them if they had any concerns about my qualifications. In fact, my credentials lined up perfectly with the requirements for the position. About 5 days later, I got a thanks but no thanks letter from them, which is just as well because I do not think that I would have accepted it anyway. I am already have a good job with a good company, and this company, despite its success seems to have some personnel issues. I agreed to interview with the company because the recruiter convinced me that it was a really good company despite its "quirkiness." I know that this position has been open for some time and they have interviewed a several people for it and turned them all down. I have heard that their CEO has turned good candidates away for even lower level positions simply because she did not recognize the college they went to. I would not bother interviewing for this position or at this company. I found them to be extremely disrespectful of your time, arrogant, and in many cases, I think they are just trying to collect data on people for benchmarking purposes with no intentions of hiring them. Before going through the process that they put me through, I would request a phone interview with them first even if you are desperate for a job. Chances are, you are wasting your time, and lot of it. What I find especially interesting about this company is that they talk about how the US government should be doing more to create manufacturing jobs here in the US on their web site yet much of their products are manufactured in and purchased from China. Good luck if you decide to interview with them.
