      Candidature

J'ai postulé via une agence de recrutement. J'ai passé un entretien chez The Oyster Partnership (Londres, Angleterre) en oct. 2025

      Entretien

Terrible- one word to summarize the whole experience. They call you and shortlist you and pretend to be kind with you with all of these strangers in the room to be competitive with one another. This whole idea of going against one another is TOXIC. I am glad that I didn’t get this job in this recruitment company because I was saved from this toxic and horrible nightmare. The whole experience that they bring you in the company to introduce yourself and speak a lot of yourself to basically “sell” yourself and they wanted us to pitch something that were passionate about. Basically, the whole idea was to pick who they liked the most and that makes me understand how low level and without any standards of company culture. It was too good to be true, they speak a lot about their success but they don’t sound honest with themselves and how they built their success along the way. Very arrogant with the candidates as I was testimony of a scene of the CEO speaking in an extreme direct and offensive manner towards a girl that was selling her drink as part of her sales pitch. I was speechless of the manner how the CEO was arrogant to her and to many other candidates. Another example, it was a Q&A session and someone from the group asked to the CEO, “how did you become CEO today?” You know how he answered back? “You tell me how I became CEO.” I mean I was without words of how such bluntness and rudeness he answered back. I would NEVER work with such disgusting and without any valued people as such these people themselves. Lastly, it was also feeling cold in their room as they have a new office, I kindly asked the woman during the break, “can I kindly have a hot tea please?” Do you know what she answered to me back? (FYI the assessment day took from 13:00-15:00 overall I was in the cold room for 3 hours without any hot drinks served) she said “no here is the water if I give you tea I would have to give it to everyone else.” You make people come to your office to sit their and use our saliva to speak and it also cold in and I said multiple times “it’s cold in the room” and you don’t even serve hot tea or coffee to the candidates? I mean what a stingy and cheap attitude they had. No wonder they have negative reviews and avoid people’s opinions based on real facts. They hide the fact that they are toxic and work long hours treating their staff and employees with such disrespect. Overall I was short listed and they then decided to not go with my candidacy, I was saved by the bell and I am blessed to have noticed all of these red flags. Their interview process is lengthy and treat people with disrespect I would be careful to take into consideration their offer as they do not even talk about KPI’s and salary’s. Not to mention career growth.

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

Everything, they ask you who you are and basically to sell yourself. Based on this they don’t really care about your studies they just want a slave and work the long hours, they decide if they like you which means they also accept people who come from different backgrounds and in this case peoples behaviors and personalities.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear that you left our assessment day with a negative impression of Oyster. While we appreciate that not every interview process will be the right fit for every individual, we are committed to ensuring that all candidates are treated with professionalism and respect throughout the recruitment process. Our assessment days are designed to provide a realistic insight into a career in recruitment, giving candidates the opportunity to present, communicate and interact in a group environment. The format has been a long-standing part of our recruitment process and has helped identify and develop many successful consultants and leaders within the business. It also allows candidates to meet our leadership team, learn more about Oyster and decide whether the opportunity is right for them, just as much as we assess the person applying and whether the role is the right fit for them. We are naturally disappointed to read your characterisation of our culture, particularly as it differs significantly from the feedback we typically receive from candidates, employees and clients. That said, we recognise that experiences are subjective, and we take all feedback seriously. We appreciate you taking the time to share your perspective and wish you every success in your future career.
