I applied online for checkouts and completed a pre-interview screening test and then sent proof of my right to work documents. After a couple of days they asked me to come in for an interview. In the interview there was me and another woman who was considerably older than me (I'm 17). We filled out paper work and then I went to the checkouts to help bag while the other woman was being interviewed and vice versa. The interview was very straight forward and then afterwards we were free to go. She then told us the jobs that we get were dependent on our availability and that there was no vacancies on the checkout, even though it said there was on the website but whatever. Got a call 2 days later and I got offered stock control assistant.

The interview process was pretty easy just a serious if questions about previous experiences & why I’d be suited to the role. They asked about my availability and how long I would be looking to stay at tesco
Very short & simple, just given an opportunity to talk and show that you’re a competent person. Very friendly and not stressful at all, they show you around the store too and what kind of things you would be doing in the role
