J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 5 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Tesco en oct. 2014

Applied online and a few days later (Wednesday) I got a phone call inviting me in for an interview on the Saturday. I had to bring my passport and NI number so they could start the right to work process. I went to the interview and found it was a group interview. There were 8 of us. They asked us questions and we had to discuss our answers with other people around us and the interviewers (2 team leaders) just listened. We then filled out a few form like the health form and when we were available to work. We got asked to guess the wage, we went for the minimum wage and we were pleasantly surprised when we got told it was £7.21 and hour! I got a phone 2 hours after the interview inviting me back for another interview (on Tuesday). This was a casual conversation with a team leader and we just talked about me, we confirmed the vacancy I was applying for (there were several vacancies I could have applied for). We then went on to the shop floor and I went to a checkout where there was someone working and I stood by them and greeted the customers and asked if they needed help. The checkout person then showed me a few things on how to work the till. I also had to check a customer's ID as they were buying alcohol. After a while my interviewer took me off and as we were walking back asked me how it was. She then told me that if I got the job they would call me that day or the next and induction would be on the Saturday. I never got a call. A week later (Tuesday) I got a call, while I was in my lecture and the team leader left a message saying that I was shortlisted and they were just waiting for my right to work to come through (which they had to do for every applicant). 2 and a half weeks later (Saturday) I woke up to a phone call from a team leader who said that I had been accepted and invited me to induction a week later (Saturday). At induction I watched lots of videos and filled in lots of forms.

Pretty easy process, nothing out of the ordinary. A few questions on how I would work through situation, deal with customers and other colleagues. People conducting the interview were friendly and polite.

The interview process for the Checkout Operator role at Tesco was very easy. You have to complete an online assessment first and they see if you will pass that. They then called me in and asked a few questions about myself, and asked about my availability, and just more general questions. It lasted around 30 minutes and then I was offered the job, later on in the same day. Very easy process.
