Two stage over video conference. First was a screening interview consisting of a chat with another software development manager, and going over experience, skills, technical and management approaches, etc.
The second was a multi stage interview with specific stages. First was a behavioural competences interview about leadership. The second was a system design whiteboarding exercise based around designing a twitter/facebook style web app, and the third was a coding interview which I had been assured would be a relevant and useful front-end dev test, but due to the difficulty in doing this online it was instead replaced with a typical nasty abstract JS hazing ceremony, designed to test nothing Tesco would ever need, nothing you had ever or would ever do, but which was nevertheless used to reject you. This last stage was an absolute disgrace and soured the whole thing.
