      Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 6 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Sonos (Boston, MA) en sept. 2023

      Entretien

6 interviews: HR, hiring manager, then four 45-min interviews. The entire process was four separate interview days but took about 6 weeks. The four 45-min interviews were scheduled at one time, which felt odd because if I did poorly on one, why would I go to three more? They also took place over the course of two days during one week, which was difficult to accommodate since I work full time. It was frustrating because after they crammed all those interviews into one week, they didn’t make a decision until 13 days later and I had to have another offer to get them to tell me I was rejected. Overall, the process felt unnecessarily drawn out and like a waste of my time. For all I know, I could have been out of the running after the first 45-min interview, which would have been more than two weeks before I was notified, and I would have still had 3 interviews ahead of me. Ultimately I gave them over 4 hours of my time (all while stressing that my current job would notice my absence), my husband took a day off of work to watch our baby during one of the days when I had 1.5 hours of interviews, and I basically begged HR for an answer for weeks. By the time I got the phone call (note to Sonos: email is preferable for rejections), I had already deduced that I was rejected, but at that point I was just happy not to be ghosted. That’s corporate America for you. I’m so drained by this process. These companies make it hell.
