Interviewed with the SVP and VP in connection with Finance and Accounting roles. Interviews went well - normal questions about background, experience, and skillset. Promised me that the entire DC area team will work to find me the right opportunity. I left the office in high spirits.
However, very poor treatment thereafter. After multiple follow up emails (including flagging off opportunities posted on RH website) went unanswered, I sent out an email stating that may be they should at least be courteous to acknowledge my emails. Thereafter I was sent a couple of opportunities that were not even related to my specialization. Yet, I presumed my contact was being helpful. This made me flag off potential jobs posted on their website - again, my contact fell silent.
In the meantime, a few other executives from RH reached out to me about opportunities- but when I mentioned that I was also in touch with their colleague, they said they’d get my details internally. I flagged these exchanges to my RH contact who as usual did not respond.
BTW, another person from RH reached out to me to obtain feedback about their app, promising a $50 gift card. I spent 30 mins providing my inputs. The gift card did not arrive. I sent follow up emails - no reply. Finally, I sent a stinker asking whether they even intended to send me the gift card in the first place - no reply. But my gift card arrived that evening.
Disappointing and annoying experience with pretty much every person at RH. Made me decide that such shabby treatment of people is a part of the organizational culture.
