      Was initially reached out by a recruiter through LinkedIn and had a pleasant intial conversation. The recruiter chose to do majority of communication through text. Prior to an interview with manager the recruiter also gave me a call to discuss questions and how to answer. It was fine up until this point until the video interview with the manager. 10 minutes late to begin with and then does a very unnecessary and long interview that took well over an hour making me extremely late to get back to work(as I had to do it during my lunch). The manager would ask the same exact questions for every single work experience and then act very smug when flipping the questions thinking it was the best question in the world. After almost every answer I gave he started with "at paycome we really value _____" making it seem that every answer you gave was bad. To be frank I've done many interviews but few were this bad. Got a random rejection email through paycoms HR board rather than an rejection from the recruiter but really think I dodged a bullet there. Would hate to work under the manager who interviewed me.

      Recruiter was very helpful and kept me informed throughout the process. First initial meeting was with the recruiter, then my manager, and finally the regional manager. The recruiter gave feedback at each level of interviews and helped schedule times even though my schedule was somewhat busy.

      The ask about the 5 core competencies which are given to you ahead of time. The main expectation is to have a real world example of those competencies.

      I didn't realize a company could rescend an offer due to past due medical bills which have effected credit. I had a great interview process and really enjoyed the recruiter, manager and regional manager I spoke with. I was extended an offer, but unfortunately during the onboarding process Paycom runs a credit check, and if you don't have a desirable credit score, even if it's due to medical bills, pandemic affecting your income, etc. (which all was explained to HR) they will rescend the offer. I'm very surprised a company would pull back an offer for someone who got behind on medical bills and is trying to make a better life for themselves and their family. I think Paycom has a great product and wish no ill will, just very surprised at the outcome (especially since I've never seen a credit check as part of a hiring process).

      The interview process was very straightforward and effective. The communication was great and the immediate feedback was something I thoroughly enjoyed. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and believe the process was very professional and helpful.
