There were multiple rounds of interviews culminating with a rotation interview with a whole technical team + the manager + the sales manager covering the presales segment. After that they took their time to make their mind and essentially start you a couple months later, perhaps so that you don't share in the payout of bonus to the team, while you're waiting and not getting paid by anyone.
