I was a contractor and my manager offered me to try for a full time position. It went well up to the last guy, the one who was going to make The Decision. The guy was in his 50s and one of the very early MS employees. For some reason he just didn't like me much and his behavior throughout the interview was very rude and arrogant. It blew me away how he took his socks off and started picking dirt between his toes while I was answering questions. Needless to say, I didn't like it much and I guess it ended the "Microsoft experience" for me. All other interviewers were nice and willing to cooperate (i.e. no grilling tactics). After two weeks of "deciding" they finally told me that they are not going to offer me a position. But since I stayed as a contractor my manager actually told me (off the record) that the Big Boss indeed didn't like me from the moment I walked in. Questions weren't exactly too challenging, in a normal range of a SDET.
