J'ai postulé via la recommandation d'un employé. Le processus a pris 4 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Microsoft (Redmond, WA) en déc. 2018
Entretien
Round 1. 30-minute recruiter phone screen (purely behavioral stuff)
Round 2. 45-minute technical interview in-person interview
Onsite: 4 interviews. A mixture of behavioral questions, deep dive on experiences on my resume, and technical questions, with a heavy focus on product design and execution questions.
Pretty straight forward interview process. Seems like unlike many other companies, Microsoft asks lots of Microsoft specific product questions so definitely have a good understanding of what products and features do and don't currently exist for the team you are interviewing with (Office, Azure, Windows). You were a PM on Microsoft Surface and Delta asked you to design the perfect airline entertainment system. You decide the features, scenarios, and users. What would you do? Walk through your thoughts and pitch it.

Not a great experience with interviews taking 1 month to complete. Despite ongoing communication, the role did not move forward, reportedly due to approval constraints. The overall experience highlights a gap in aligning internal approvals before progressing candidates to advanced stages.
Clearer communication and better alignment internally would improve the candidate experience

The interview process is grueling and I get why people do it but its more awareness, know that you'll spend an entire day and meet several people, so it's important to be mentally and physically prepared. Eat a good breakfast but not heavy stay hydrated. This was just for a PM role it's their standard process I imagine executive level is another thing altogether

Question 1
Tell me about a time you didn't agree with someone who was a stakeholder on your project and how did you handle that?
Very smooth, thoughtful interview process. It showed the recruiter really cared what I had to contribute and asked great followup clarifying questions. Would definitely recommend everyone try an interview with them even if it doesn't pan out.
