The interview was decent, talked about past experiences and went through a few behavioral based Q. Be sure to know both math and CS as interviewers would like to know the project you have worked on. Maybe a few questions along the line too.
This is the most extremely unprofessional and disrespectful interview experience that I ever had.
I had a call with one of the talent acquisition managers - information technology. This gentleman was late for the virtual meeting for more than 5 mins. After he joined the meeting, there was no apology or explanation. And he kept me waiting while he was searching and pulled my profile from their system and asked for my name. It was very obvious that he didn't even prepare for this interview.
I thought we would start with a normal catch-up, a brief introduction about the company, the team and etc., but none of this happened. He directly said that you got me to worry that you changed your job frequently, what makes me believe that if I hired you, you won't quit after 6 months? I replied to that question politely, and professionally, then he asked the second question: what's your salary expectation? Before I gave my answer, I made it very specific that I knew this role compensation structure might be different compared to other roles and hope he could give me a brief walkthrough. And he just ignored my request, After he heard my answer about my current compensation and he said there is nothing I can do to match your current compensation and I don't think we need to continue the interview process, and ended the call. The whole conversation lasted less than 15 mins and 2/3 of the time was waiting for him to do his job that he was supposed to finish before coming to an interview.
Honestly, I am not sure where he got such a rude and arrogant attitude from. Throughout the whole conversation, I felt strongly offended by this gentleman's extremely disrespectful and unprofessional behavior. This is definitely the worst interview experience that I ever had. You can imagine how bad the corporate culture would be and definitely won't work for this organization.
