J'ai postulé via la recommandation d'un employé. Le processus a pris 1 semaine. J'ai passé un entretien chez Manulife (Montréal, QC) en oct. 2018
Entretien
First step was phone call with HR, discussing salary and the position.
Second step was an in person interview with the team lead and manager. High level questions about architecture, typical questions like where you see yourself in 5 years, etc etc.
Next step was a coding challenge to build a small CRUD app and host it on the cloud ( complete with backend, frontend and database).
After submitting the app, it took a week to even get an ack that they received the app. I was then told I'd get news from HR shortly.
To this day I still have had zero feedback or any news about my candidacy.
I find this incredibly unprofessional. To have me code a full stack app, available on the cloud, for which I have to pay the hosting costs, _on my own personal time_, and not give me any news or feedback??
Who does that? Manulife, that's who.
I guess the silver lining is if they had made an offer, I might have ended up accepting and working in a slow, big bureaucratic s*itshow that doesn't value people at all. So thank Manulife!
