Entretien
Was contacted via email and asked several questions to further clarify things about me. Provided the information and then never heard back. I reached out a couple times to the recruiter to see where things stood but got radio silence.
I recently had the misfortune of encountering Leidos’s recruitment process. From start to finish, the handling of my application was a textbook example of incompetence and disregard for basic courtesy.
I was initially contacted by a recruiter who asked me to provide written assignment regarding my experience. Following my response, they asked about scheduling a phone screen. I provided over 10 available dates and times, only to be met with no response for almost 2 full days. Understanding that they were likely busy, I followed up to get the interview scheduled and let them know about planned trip I had coming up where I would have no access to wifi/phone. She eventually responded and scheduled the call for my last possible availability.
On the day of the scheduled interview, the recruiter no-showed our phone screen. They emailed me later asked to reschedule the phone screen on the exact date I had already informed them I would be unavailable. When I emailed them back to let them know, I was met with an out of office email. When they returned from office, I got an auto-rejection email letting me know I was no longer in consideration.
It's beyond comprehension how a company can claim to value potential candidates while exhibiting such blatant disrespect and disregard for their time and efforts. This display of unprofessionalism reflects poorly on Leidos as a whole. In a job market that is very difficult for recruiters, you would imagine there would be an ounce of empathy for their peers. I noticed other reviews mentioning the same issue, so it seems to be a trend for their recruiting team.
