J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 6 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Intel Corporation (Hillsboro, OR) en avr. 2019

      Entretien

I directly emailed the hiring manager who is also an engineering manager in and visited the university where I was pursuing my second postdoctoral research. At that time I could not meet him when two of my lab-mates were interviewed by him on-campus. In reply to my follow-up e-mail the hiring manger asked me to send my resume. Within 3-4 hours after I sent him my resume he mailed me back for a phone interview arranged after two days. The phone interview lasted for half an hour and after two days he informed me that I have been selected for onsite interview in Intel Hillsboro, OR. The onsite interview stared from 9:15 am and ended at 4:30 pm and it was divided into multiple phases. As soon as I met the hiring manager, he made me feel very comfortable and explained what is done in Intel in a nut-shell. It was more of a two sided interaction and I really enjoyed it. After that, I gave a presentation on my research in front of two engineers and was asked easy questions on my research. Shortly after the presentation, I was interviewed by two senior engineers who are also a group leaders for one hour each. They briefly explained what do their groups do and asked few basic and easy technical questions. One thing I must say here that, I never felt nervous while I was being interviewed primarily because the interviewers always made me comfortable and the interviews were more of two way interactions rather than me answering questions all the time. Between these two interviews I was taken for lunch off campus by two persons who were there at my presentation. My third interview was with another manger who asked few behavioral questions. At the end, the hiring manager came, asked few behavioral questions and concluded the interview. My overall experience about this interview was really nice.

Phone interview with a group leader (GL) where she assessed my interest and fit for the position. Got called back for a day-long second round which involved three one-hour interviews with other GLs, a technical presentation to a couple of engineers, and an informal “chat” session with the same engineers. All via MS teams. I had a positive experience and all the GLs were great. I barely got asked any questions and no technical questions. They just want to gauge your cultural fit and make sure you’re not a jerk. I declined the offer as I received a higher offer for another company, and I felt that I was a better fit on the other team. Overall I would recommend interviewing with Intel, even though I ended up turning them down. Make sure to be able to hold a conversation… you’re going to be the one doing most of the asking.
