J'ai postulé via la recommandation d'un employé. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Google en sept. 2009
Entretien
First a recruiter contacted me via phone and email and asked for some basic information. She explained their hiring standard is looking for good generalist, so I'll be interviewing with several engineers from different teams. Then she arranged one round of phone screening with a person, who asked about my resume questions and some simple programming and design questions. Then next stay she contacted me for arranging an onsite. The onsite was with 6 engineers, from 3 year googler to googler from start-up, including a very senior engineer/researcher. They are all very kind and interview is quick-paced. On average each asked 3-5 questions covering algorithm, coding, knowledge, experience, design, and my research. They passed on a piece of paper to avoid asking same questions.

Entretien
The interview process was structured and professional, with clear communication at each stage. The assignment was relevant and fairly scoped, and feedback/updates were timely. However, the evaluation timeline after submission felt somewhat unclear, and more transparency on expected review duration would improve the candidate experience

Question 1
One question that stood out during the interview was about how I would design a system to handle concurrent requests safely while maintaining performance under high load. They were particularly interested in how I would approach thread safety, resource sharing, and avoiding race conditions in a real-world backend service.
Good, in depth technical questions and detailed analysis. Attention to detail to the problems given. technical knowledge needed spans several technologies and use cases. Ample time was given and felt very comfortable.
