Interview process is still going on but I have to comment. So if the department does not have enough resource to filter out resume or provide one on one interview (online or in person), stop hiring. An online coding assessment is totally acceptable but a "record your answer by talking to the camera, two attempts each" assessment is totally a mental rape and outdated. It is not costly to have one of your HR or team lead spend 30 min talking to candidates on teams. Or go spend some time on resumes and choose candidates who worth your 30 min...
