      J'ai postulé via la recommandation d'un employé. Le processus a pris 2 jours. J'ai passé un entretien chez GEICO (Macon, GA) en mai 2015

      Entretien

      15 min phone interview, typing test, hr interview, role play, shadowing with an current employee, final manager interview. I applied for GEICO for the Claims Rep position. When I came in they said that I would be a good fit for customer service. I had experience for both CSR and Claims so it really didn't matter to me, the only problem is, they hire people everyday and place them anywhere saying that its a good fit for them but half the people that Geico hires has no background experience in the positions that they place them in. Smh. So, I went through the whole hiring process passed the role play. Once you pass the role play people basically say "you have the job." Listened to a couple of calls after role play and spoke with the hiring manager. Answered all the questions. After answering questions with all qualifying answers the manager says I will be back in a few.. After that, I just knew I had the job from what people said. The manager comes back and says well we can't offer you a position at this time. I was confused because I had the qualifications and experience. I asked why, she said we can't fit you in a training class at this moment. The turn over rate for Geico is extremely high and they hire people everyday so why would their not be any room in a training class?? The manager states that hr would contact me within 3-5 business days. I never received an email or a phone call. That was very unprofessional and I would never apply for GEICO again.

      There are two rounds. The first round is virtual and they ask about your background and if you can handle the process. For the second-round, You will shadow someone for 20 minutes then proceed for a 40 minute interview. There are a lot of situational questions.

      Straight forward. There are 2 interviews, must pass 1st to get 2nd. 2nd interview is more detailed and is on site. 1st interview is via zoom. 2nd interview about 45 minutes to an hour

      It was a weird process, first it was on zoom and my interviewer told me to turn off my camera because of the bandwidth issues. Then she asked three questions and provided me the job description and the hours. She then asked me if I was looking for other work and If I was currently working. I did tell her that I am currently working and she told me that I have enough time to provide my current job a two weeks notice. After the interview she told me that she was going to endorse my application for review. Then she sent me another email saying that “Your recruiter will be in touch with you for next steps”. Then in the middle of night not even 24 hrs, I get a generic email saying that I was passed on. I wanted to find out why did I get an email saying that a recruiter was going to contact me, then I passed on from someone else. This was a customer service position and during the interview she told me that I have a lot of experience. I just didn’t like during that interview I was given false hope. I would not recommend applying to this company.
