      Entretien

I interviewed some time ago but was so bothered by it all that I had to come back and write this to hopefully save the next victim. The interview takes place in multiple phases. First was a phone call. That was quick and rather painless. If you can answer a few simple questions you should pass. Then there were some online testing. I rushed through it because as always, they give you about a minute to read about 4 paragraphs of a single question and answer about 5 questions on it. If you pass, good for you. The last part was an in person interview. First part was about 30-45 mins of more questions and then if you pass that they ask you to stick around for the remainder of the interview...the dreaded role play. Which by the way lasts about 3-4 hours. (Ridiculous, I know.) Let me tell you, it was a nightmare. They stick you in an office, give you little in person instruction, expect you to understand a verbal instruction that plays over a CD player and lasts about 30 minutes. In this moment all I could think of was walking out. They were out of their mind. After the 30 minutes is up someone walks back in and puts another 30 minute timer on the table and tells you to act as if you are an employee of a fictional company and you need to handle incoming calls, office visits, and about 100 sheets of different paperwork. If they were trying to witness someone have a heart attack, they almost achieved it. First guy comes in and drops some more paperwork on your desk, says some gibberish and walks right out. By the way they completely go out of the way to speak so fast that you never understand them. I know it's all a fear tactic of some kind and to see how you react but after having actually worked in the business world, it's not like that. There was this overwhelming sense of revenge the current employees were getting on me because they had once gone through this before. Fortunately for them, they passed. After some more phone calls and in office visits, this one guy came in and said stop and to not touch any of the paper work. He then sent me out to the lobby. After being mentally and verbally abused (in a non violent sense) for those 3-4 hours I sat in the lobby unsure of my results. From the previous reviews I had read, the most common ones said to be friendly and always smile to the customers, and let me tell you, that is very far from the truth. They want you to actually dissect the massive amount of information they give you and produce actual results. However, the only thought that did come to mind was even if I were offered the position, I would have passed. I could not imagine working for a company that hosts an interview like this. For those of you who have passed and will pass, I applaud you. What amazes me about this entire thing was one word, "Trainee". It was an entry level position with a veteran level interview. Good luck to those of you who read this and decide to face the battle anyways. In the end, I'm actually so disgusted with this entire interview process that I've decided I'm going to avoid Geico as a whole. I never liked Flo from Progessive but after that interview, she's become rather easy on the eyes and a much more reasonable alternative to the job Nazi's over at Geico.

Good experience with this company and interview process. They asked questions pertaining to past job experience and questions regarding the job itself. The recruiter was nice and friendly, as well.

applied and was asked to do a assessment which was pretty straightforward. Then did a 20 min zoon interview with a recruiter. They explained a little about the job, salary, training and that I would be invited for a 2nd interview with the leadership team. A little strange interview also, they didn't really ask any questions about myself, just asked how many times I've shown up late for work in my past job and why I had a gap in my employment. A few days later I got a automated email that the job had been filled already. Seems just because you are told you made it to the 2nd and final round doesn't mean you will. They seem to hire first come first serve.

I did a zoom interview, which wasn’t the issue. The issue was I felt like there were no questions asked linked directly to the job I was applying for. I’m use to more behavioral based questions and they asked a lot of random filler questions, had me guessing why are they even interviewing me??
